The Yamaha B30SC3 Piano represents the most complete model in Yamaha’s new B Series, combining the authentic experience of an acoustic piano with the flexibility of the Silent Piano™ SC3 system.
Thanks to this technology, it allows you to play with headphones without disturbing others, while maintaining the touch, response and expressiveness of a Yamaha acoustic piano.
With dimensions of 121 cm high, 153 cm wide and 62 cm deep, the Yamaha B30SC3 offers greater sound projection, broader resonance and a superior dynamic range within the B Series.
What Is the Silent Piano™ SC3 System?
The Silent Piano™ system allows you to switch between traditional acoustic sound and silent practice with headphones.
When Silent mode is activated, the hammers stop before striking the strings, while high-precision sensors capture the movement of the keys and digitally reproduce the piano sound through headphones.
The SC3 system incorporates Yamaha technology with binaural sampling, Grand Expression Modeling and non-contact sensors, delivering a natural and immersive sound experience without altering the authentic touch of the acoustic piano.
Thanks to this technology, the Yamaha B30SC3 allows you to enjoy piano playing freely at any time of the day.
Maximum Resonance and Sound Projection in the B Series
The Yamaha B30SC3 features special B Series hammers, developed from Yamaha’s experience with the CFX concert grand piano, together with a redesigned soundboard that improves sound clarity, richness and stability.
Its greater height and depth allow for a larger resonance surface and longer bass strings, delivering a more powerful, deeper and balanced sound.
In addition, its five back posts reinforce structural stability and help maintain rich and expansive resonance even after intensive use.
Differences Compared to the Yamaha B3 Silent
The Yamaha B30SC3 Piano replaces the previous Yamaha B3 Silent while maintaining the 121 cm height, but introducing significant improvements in design, resonance and user experience.
It includes new hammers, an optimised soundboard, enlarged music rest and an integrated soft-close mechanism, improving both sound quality and comfort during daily practice.
The wider music rest makes it easier to use large sheet music, while the Silent Piano™ system provides maximum flexibility for practising with headphones without time restrictions.
