Schimmel K122. Nothing could be more pleasing to designers than to have the goals that pianists fought for more clearly recognized. “The piano that completely satisfies”
“This piano immediately generates a degree of confidence rarely experienced due to its excellent action.
The most favorable aspect is undoubtedly the very fine structure of the tonal balance, which is emphasized through the dynamic, controllable and outstanding level.
These qualities transform the piano into an instrument that is equally refined and precise, but also round in tone.
It is rare that so many qualities are concentrated in a piano
“This excellence extends to the bass registers which are well defined and allow a wide variety of musical styles to be played with equal effect.” These are the verdicts of the judges of the music magazines Diapason and Le Monde de la Musique when conducting blind piano tests”
The Schimmel K122 incorporates many design features from the company’s concert grand pianos.
The scale design is taken from the 280 Concert Grand and, exclusively for upright pianos, it has a full triple sequence to improve both treble sustain and overall richness of sound.
Extraordinary dynamic range is produced by a combination of Schimmel action and a soundboard incorporating “dynamic bars”. Clarity of sound, without the harshness often associated with it, is a triumph of scale and soundboard design.
