It is a great honour for the Menton Festival which this year will celebrate its 66th anniversary to work with B\u00f6sendorfer on this exceptional piano. Cocteau was an avid visitor to the Festival and the special relationship he maintained with the city of Menton confers a particular beauty to this project. <\/P><\/p>\n

Jean Cocteau<\/a>\u00a0( 1889-1963 ) was a French writer, designer, playwright, artist and filmmaker. He was a contemporary of Picasso and had working associations with many world famous artists and musicians like\u00a0Igor Stravinsky<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Erik Satie<\/a>. \u00a0 The Collector’s Grand is design for model size 200 and 214VC. It can be ordered in either black or white polyester with chrome fittings and a silver colored frame and is\u00a0limited to 12 pieces<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Menton Music festival\u00a0<\/a>is the oldest and one of the most prestigious music festivals in Europe. Piano music is featured significantly at the festival with, both, outdoor concerts in the wonderful medieval town square, and indoor concerts inside the exciting\u00a0 ultra modern Museum Jean Cocteau that houses the Severin Wunderman collection. In recent years the Museum concerts have been performed on a B\u00f6sendorfer so it was a perfect fit to craft a Collector’s B\u00f6sendorfer \u201cCocteau\u201d Grand.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
